The American Red Cross honored local heroes Wednesday for their actions in saving lives last year.
The honorees included those who saved the life of a child at Fowler Drive Elementary School and a man trying to commit suicide in a parking deck, as well as a young boy who donated his blood and bone marrow to save his brother afflicted with cancer.
Red Cross board member and FormFree CEO Brent Chandler presented the Good Samaritan award to 8-year-old Daniel Stephens during the Heroes Luncheon.
